For the third time in a row, LUCILE-MEISEL organized the renowned Songwriting Session in Spain. From May 30 to June 6, 2024, established authors met at the picturesque Villa Mas Sant Jordi on the Costa Brava. For one week, five alternating teams of three writers each created a total of 15 new songs.
The spacious villa offers bedrooms and studio rooms where the participants could work undisturbed. On a planned off-day, all participants went on a catamaran trip along the Costa Brava, which created additional team spirit.
During this week, a total of 15 new songs were created for the artists Eloy de Jong and Daniel Aminati as well as for the artist Sarah Bora. All three artists were on site and actively participated in the creation process. Each act received five tailor-made songs, which were listened to together in a relaxed atmosphere at the end of the day.
Kirsten Meisel (Managing Director of LUCILE-MEISEL Musikverlage): “The songwriting sessions not only promote new musical works, but also collaboration and cohesion between the authors. The special atmosphere of the Spanish landscape contributed to a productive and enriching week.”
Christopher Gronau (Senior A&R Meisel Music): “The quality of the resulting songs is impressive. Each song is the result of an intensive collaboration between talented writers and artists who have mastered their craft. The resulting songs promise to be a highlight for the upcoming releases of the artists involved.”
The Lucile-Meisel team in Spain included Kirsten Meisel (Managing Director Meisel Music), Ina Wiens (Copyright/Creative Meisel Music), Leandra Marzluff (A&R Lucile Musik Verlag GmbH) and Christopher Gronau (Senior A&R Meisel Music) as well as Max Rosenberg (A&R Telamo).
